This features our past panel discussion in November 2020 on the topical issue of the integration of legal technology in bettering access to justice.

How can technology enable better access to justice? What are the challenges and opportunities available for the growth and advancement of legal technology? How can students get involved in legal technology? Our Zoom panel discussion, ‘Access to Justice x Legal Technology’, aimed to tackle these questions. Our panelists discussed important topics such as how legal technology has impacted wider legal aid services, how race equity can be achieved through legal technology and the changing role of legal technology in ensuring access to justice during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speakers included Catherine Bamford (CEO and Founder of BamLegal), Claudia Johnson (Program Manager of LawHelp) and Katherine Alteneder (Consulting Senior Strategic Advisor to the Self-Represented Litigation Network (SRLN))

The event culminated in a fruitful discussion and was well attended by over 30 participants engaging in this topic.
